Compound sentence are two simple sentences mix together by F.A.N.B.O.Y.S.
The first step is to write a simple sentence.
Next put a fanboys in after the simple sentence.
Lastly you write another simple sentence.

A trebuchet is a type of catapult that is mostly found in Germany. It was used to knock down castle walls to gain entry.
Here is an explantion of how they work.
rūma - Room
hive - a place where bees live
My company Design Builders were making a prototype of a party popper.
First we thought of the parts that we were going to use for our prototype. Some of the parts were a plastic cup, thick rubber band, and a paper stopper.
Second Design Builders assembled the parts of the prototype. When we assembled the party popper it stayed together and thought about some backups if this party popper bracks.
Finally Design Builders tested the party popper. We tested the rubber band, The strength of the cup, and the paper stopper.
I enjoyed the assembling the parts of the party popper.
LI: to make a prototype for testing.

I revised different questions in Maori.
Whaea Odie also gave us a quick recap of tenei, tera, and tena.
First, one of them is (Kei hea), (Kei hea) means where is.
Secondly, the other type of asking a question is (Ko wai) this mean who is.
Lastly, the last way to ask a question is (He aha tenei) this mean what is this.
I thought this was hard because I had to answer all the questions in Maori.
I read 16 pages of Knights.
The creater of this book is Christopher Gravett.
The book is about what kind of weapons they used against other opponice and also what kind of training they do to have a real battle against opponice. Then it’s was also about what type of armour there were.
My three words that I explaned in my own words are Medieval- medieval is when people are in there middle age. Decorated-decorated means a trim or a grace. Banquets-banquets mean a meal from other people.
We tested a design of a party popper and tried to change the design and make an improved version.
First, my group tried to figur out our parts for our party popper.
Secondly, we wrote the current design for the party popper.
Next, we updated our design so it could attract people to our market.
Lastly, I rational for the reason why we changed our design.
I thought this was hard because we didn't know what our feedback ment.
We learnt about how Maori senteces work and where things are.
First, I translated names of fruit into Maori.
Secondly, I took the main object for example an orange and turned it into a Maori sentece.
Lastly, I put the sentences togther and my results were (kei hea te panana ? - Kei roto i te pouaka makariri).
This was good because I learnt about some other objects and learnt where they are in Maori.
Summaries are when people use to collect infomation about what you learnt.
There are two types of summaris you could do one repeat, repeat is copying your mechanisms you all ready written.
The other type of summari is that you could write about giving your opinion about the mechanisms.
Summaris are usefull because people use summarys to inform people of what you did.
I learnt about how to respect the rules around the class and the rules around the school.
First, I picked a rule then right about how to follow the rule. For example I have to follow the rule respect the things that you own.
Secendly, I brain stormed then worte about the reason why we follow the rules and what we could do to follow the rule.
Lastly, I took my brain storming then wrote how we could follow these rules.
I follow the rule. When people try and talk to me but I face away.
First, we planned out what challenge we were doing. Our plan was to stand on one leg and swing our arms back and forth while holding the bottle.
Next, we tested out our challenge by avoiding our tipping point while making the bottles touch each other.
Lastly, we took a photo and recorded our results and we made our poster.
I thought this was hard because it was challenging on figuring out what our plan was.
This was good because its teaching people how to say where things are in another language.
I learnt what mechanisms about causes and effects.
Mechanisms are to write many sentences about one topic.
First, to practice mechanisms I watched a video about how popcorn pops.
After that, I wrote some mechanisms that are related to cause and effect.
For the cause example the pan or microwave heats the kernel, so the moisture inside the kernel turns into steam.
For the effect example the steam of the popcorn is trapped, therefore the popcorn can burst out of the kernel.
I wrote the evolution of popcorn is when steam is trapped inside the kernal. The hull in the kernal then bursts into popcorn.
I wrote the cause of it poping then I wrote the effect of why and how did it pop.
I two chapters read the life of Riley beginner's luck.
The book was about how Riley's life has been going and how he had good luck then he had bad luck ever since his mum took him to a fun fair.
I enjoyed this book because it's funny and it's about luck and bad luck.
The book is Bright Fine Gold and it's about gold and telling people where people found it.
I two chapters read the life of Riley beginner's luck.
The book was about how Riley's life has been going and how he had good luck then he had bad luck ever since his mum took him to a fun fair.
Did you know that there are three simple machines that help people work easier and faster. They are called: Screw, Wheel and axle, and pulley.
I completed a challenge called the speed demon challenge. My score was 100/100 and I did addition up to ten and I timed myself and it was 3m 34s and 49ms.
I learnt how to say Maori kitchen items.
I needed to find pictures of kitchen items like sponge, knife, and pan.
I also needed to lable the names of the items in teo Maori.
This was hard because I found some pictures and lable them in teo Maori.
Wheae Odie gave us a recap of what under and above means in Maori.
I learnt and how to make my own explain that idiom.
I got in a pair and we explained a frace and make a video for example, "Its a peace of cake" Me and my parrtner did "see you later alligaor".
I completed it the frace and made a script to make a video and I attempeted to say the script and It went well.
This was hard because I kept on having to practice my script.
I did a range of activitys that are related to balance.
First, I did balance by doing rugby tosses on one foot. I thoght this was easy because I could catch the ball easily with one foot.
Secondly, I did balance by using a netball I tossed the netball to my partners chest on one foot. I thoght this was hard because I kept on l leaning.
Afterwards, I did balance by using a frisby I threw the frisby on one leg. I thought this was hard because it was challanging to catch it on one leg.
Then, I balance by using a hooky stick. I thoght this was hard because it was hard to balance and hit a ball on one foot.
Lastly, I balanced by using a basketball. This was easy because I only had to dribble on one foot and pass the ball.
Three were hard and two were easy I want to master all of them so I could be better at balance.
Calendors show us the days, week or month.
There are 12 months in the year, they are; January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
Months have have 28, 30 or 31 days.
There are number patterns on a calandar by looking for four connecting days for example 20, 60 and 100.
Knowing befor and after number sequencc and 7 timetable helps us reading a calander.
Simple machines help people to do work easily and quickly. The three similar simple machines are the wedge, lever, and inclined plane.
A tipping point is when your about to fall over but you catch your fall.
I learnt how to use tipping points.
To practice my tipping point the class played a game called Block Twister.
The game is basically Twister but we used our blocks on the floor to play the game.
I was hard because I struggled on balancing.
I learnt how to say pass it over in Maori to help me learn another sayings in Maori.
We had a recap of what we did last week it was tenei, tena, and tera.
I learnt "Hoatu te ... ki te taha maui" It means pass something to the left.
This was hard because I had to rember what I did last week and try and figure out how to say it.
I learnt what causes and effects are.
A cause is something that made somthing happened. I also learnt what an effect is an effect is what happened.
When my group was learning about the cause and effect I took a shot of trying to figure out which picture gose with the other picture.
I completed the task cause and effect I mached the pictures to make a compound sentece.
Today I attempeted the speed demon challange and my resalts were.
100/100 up to ten in a addition. My time was 6m 1s and 38ms. Next time I want to achieve to get faster at the speed demon challenge.
If I want to get better and faster at the speed demon challange I have to practice everyday.
I learnt balance by doing a range of difficalt moves or tricks that we have yet to master.
First, group B practised balance by using our park one of them were trying to balance without someone then balancing with someone.
Afterwards, group B practised balance by useing two or less people to try and make up a balancing skill.
Lastly, group B practised balance by trying to balance on your group with less contacted and your group had to balance on the floor without less contacted.
This was hard because my group was struggling on that last balancing skill.
Today I learnt about keywords.
One of the keywords were native animals I found that keyword in Unique NZ.
One of the keywords were unwanted stowaways I found that keyword in the text Unwanted visitors.
One of the keywords were diseases I found that keyword in the text not wanted.
This was easy because I had to read the title and find in a text a word that is similar.
Digital and analog time help uus know what time of day it is.
Digital time disply numbers for minutes and hours and use Am or Pm to tell us what time of day it is.
Elapsed time is how much time has gone by. Skip counting in 5's helps calculate how much time has elapsed.
Using an analog clock makes it easier to calculate elapsed time.
Manner are respectful language.
Manners are telling someone and showing your respecting them. We have to show our manners to evryone.
We have to use our manners all the time it shows that you respect everyone.
Manners can come in different words and showing affectedly like please, thank you, your welcome, and eye contacted.
All these videos show people manner are respecful and if you respet someone they will show you their manners.
My group and I solved a range of problems.
First my group disscused about the problems and shared our ideas to each one of us.
All of the problems were about time. We had to write an example and how we figered it out.
Lastly we went to check our results and we had one more check.
I learnt off one of my group mates what I learnt was when the long hand is going to 12 you say going to 12.
I found simple machines in real life.
My group found a lever what a lever dose lift something heavy.
My group found a wheel and axle what a wheel and axle dose is a mode of transport.
My group found a screw what a screw dose is hold things in the same position.
My group found a pully what a pully dose is lift things to a high level.
My group found a inclined plane what a inclined plane dose is get something low to high.
My group found a wedge what a wedge dose is split somthing apart.
I learnt Maori preposition to help me understand more Maori.
I learnt the preposition tenei which means here.
I learnt the preposition tena which means there.
I learnt the preposition tera which means over there.
I think this was hard because I had to try and give an idea, try and understand it.
I learnt what a Introduction is.
I recalled that a Introduction is telling someone how somthing works or telling a main idea.
We watched a video about how popcorn works. I made a prediction my prediction was right but I didin't know some of the things that they said.
I figered out that an Introductions is telling someone how somthing works but it wasen't right about the main idea.
Group B was learning about the structure of balance and testing it on themselves.
First, group B practised balance by getting a partner to attempted pushing me over but. I used different techniques to try and keep my balance.
Afterwards, group B practised balance by getting across a beam with four other people on the beam.
Lastly, group B practised balance by getting into a group of three to help me balance on a socer ball.
This task was hard because group B was struggling on crossing the beam and trying to balance on a socer ball.
Simple machines help people to do work esay and fast.
Simple machines are tools that are really simple for people to get around problems that people can't figure out.
A wedge is a simple machines which makes somthing split in two halfs.
A lever is a simple machines helps people lift difficult objects with a stick and a object that could balance the stick.
A polly is a simple machine and a tool that could help people lift objects it's basicly just a wheel and slipping a rope throgh.
A inclined plane is a simple machine because it helps people go from a low level to a high level.
A screw is a simple machine because it helps people to stick somthing on a wall easy.
A wheel and axle is a simple machine because it move objects easier and faster.
These machines are still commonly used today to move objects.
I learnt Maori question's to help me in the classroom.
I learnt the question ko wai tō mama which means "what is your mums name?"
I learnt the question kua mutu which means "finish/finished?'
I learnt the question kua marama which means "do you understand?"
I think this was hard because you had to understand the Maori words and type what you think it means.
Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working togther to achieue a goal.
Teamwork consists of three main mechanisms.
Commuication is talking to your teamates and helping them in any way in a game. So when the team need's help you could help them. An example in dodgeball is when someone needs a ball and they call to pass the ball to them.
Coopartion is working togerther as a team. Like people commuicating and listening to each other. Like people in dodgeball your teamates could hand you a ball.
Callaboration is basicly all of the three C's. People sharing the ball passing it talking and to them. Like people helping, sharing, and listening.
I read one chapter of mega machines record breakers.
In the book mega machines record breakers it is all about the biggest machines and the smallest machines. Maybe about engine and how they all work, and people breaking reacords around the world.
I enjoyed this book because I learnt facts from this book. Makes me learn how engine work.
I completed basic facts boxes adition up to ten. The basic facts boxes challenge is to answer the questions as quickly as you can.
My time was 3m 46s and 45ms. My score for the speed demon challenge it was 100 out of 100.
I have to improve on getting faster at answering my questions.
Making connections is when you follow on with a book and make a connection
Making connections are connections with yourself, another text, and the world.
Text to self is what happen to you that happened just like the book.
Example is the Duck gave water to the horse. In the story little red riding hood little red riding hood gave her grandmother food.
Example is The Duck returned the food to the villagers. In the story Mr. Fantastic fox he brang back a lot of food for his family.
Teamwork is a term to describe a group of people working togther to achieue a goal.

To be successful as a team all there mechanisms need to be implemented throughout the activity.
Marc Duffy is a Duffy role model to help people read, Marc Duffy had a difficult lifestyle and he went to prison for making bad choices and made bad friends.
When Marc Duffy was in prison there was a teacher there who helped Mark to read because he read from right to left and now he reads from left to right.
Marc Duffy learnt the trade of a builder and owned his own businss.
Marc Duffy worked for Bunnings fitting out thier stores, Now he is manages the largested store in NZ, witch is in Hamilton.
The Duffy role model should be easy to remember so people could understand and read more.
Multiplication is a fast way of counting the same number many times. The three, four, and six times tables are examples of multiplication.
The three times table are multiplying three's in a group.
The four times table are multiplying four in a group.
The six times table are multiplying six in a group
The times tables are an easy way to remember basic multiplication promblems. The next times tables to learn now are 7, 8, and 9 times table.
Information that is public should be harmless on the internet.
Public informaion is sharing things online to the world or for lots of people to see.
Information that is private means you don't want to share it with other people.
Public and private are good to remember because you could remind yourself of doing the right thing on the internet.
Information that is private should be kept off the internet.
A character trait is describing the action of a certain character in a book. In the book the Highway Rat there are 3 main characters that can be used to infer.
The Duck is a intelligent because the Duck tells the Rat that she has a sister with a lot of junk-food. This shows that the Duck is intelligent because by tricking the rat.
The Duck Is kind because she brings back all of the animals food. The Duck gave water to the horse. This shows that the Duck cares about others animals.
Inferring is a strategy to show an understanding about how or why characters do things.
Multiplication is a fast way of counting the same number many times. The two, five, and ten times tables are examples of multiplication.
The two times table are multiplying two by a number of groups.
The five times table are multiplying five by a number of groups.
The tens times table are multiplying ten by a number of groups.
The times tables are an easy way to remember basic multiplication promblems. The next times tables to learn are the three, four, and six times table.
I did a fact or opinion about characters in The Highway Rat
First I watched a movie to get what the story was about.
Next I had to write some facts of what happened in the story. Then I wrote the opinions of why I thought that they were doing what they were doing.
Afterwards we needed to write adjectives to describe the character traits from our opinions.
I thought this task was good because it makes our vocabulary better.
I split big amounts of numbers into two, three, and five.
First I took a big group of counters and we never knew how much counters there were.
Next my group and I split the big group of counters into three.
Then we counted the number of groups.
Multiplication is a faster way to count an unknown number.
I used multiplication to find out the unknown number.
I thought this task was good because it teaches kids how to count faster.
Place value is a system that groups numbers based on their size.
The position of a digit determines its value. When we say numbers we group then within the same house. For example 15709 has fifteen thousands, seven hundred and nine ones.
I visualisation about The Highway Rat.
A visualisation is a picture in your head that helps you draw.
Visualisation's are important because it helps you think and helps you draw.
The story was about a highway rat was taking other animals food. Then a duck tricked the rat by trapping him in a cave. Then the duck got everyone's food back.
My drawings have my rat standing on four legs and Max's rat is standing on two legs.
Visualisation is important because it helps you with what you should do.
We learnt about the 3 Ps in the treaty of Waitangi and how they apply to our learning.
First Mr Ogilvie introduced the 3 Ps in the treaty of Waitangi. They are protection, partnership, and participation.
Then in groups we wrote statements about the 3 Ps on LS1. LS1 figured out the 3 Ps are all connected.
After that we used our group ideas and thought about how they connected to me.
I chose these 3 statements because they will help me be successful with my learning in LS1. I should be in participation because if I get a chance I should take it.

First I read the 1 chapter of diary of a wimpy kid double down written by Jeff Kinney.
Next the Greg start's talking about what it would be like getting recorded without even knowing.
I like Greg because he's funny and clumsy.
I created a basic facts chart using Google Sheets.
I started finding some number bonds in doubles.
Then after finding some basic facts number bonds I recorded it on a spreadsheet.
Next I created a chart by using spreadsheet and short cuts like copying and pasting copying and pasting is a good tool for when you need to move something.
I thought that this task was very hard what I liked about this task was the number bond's.
LI: to learn number bonds and doubles.
