Visual Language - Tiger

This is our first visual language and it is only about this book called Tiger. We leaned new words I liked modality.

Space Art

This is my space art. We decorated the art by sketching craters on the white paper. Then we dyed the planets hot and cold  colours. The we put white paint on the black paper. Finally we glued all all of the the planets together on the black paper. Then we flick white paint on the black paper the we a moon Then when we where finish with that Ms.kirk patrick took a photo of us. Then we put it on our blog.

Matariki

Today Whea Odie gave us some sausage sizzles for the school and at 2:15 at the end of the day we went to assembly. The Junior kapa haka was the first group to perform.Then we watched a movie about the seven stars. Then Pacific Performed I really liked when they were dancing it was really nice. Then the last group  performed it was the senior kapa haka and I was in the senior kapa haka.

Zoo Recount

Zoo Recount

On a cold, grey, cloudy day Room Five went to the zoo! The
teachers
made
groups
of six
then
we went to look
around the zoo.

First animal we saw was red pandas. They were
sleeping on the trees. Then one of them came down
from the
trees

 and ran away from us. Next animal we saw some
wallabys
they were
hopping
around
the field.
Then we
saw the Alligators.
The
Alligators were swimming the water. At the bottom of the hill we saw
the spider
monkeys,
they
were in the trees,
one of them was
jumping from branch to branch. After that we went to see the apps. The
apes
were
making a lot
of noises.

Then it was time to meet up at with Hohepa. Hohepa
took us for a tour around Africa. First animal we saw
was  bonbons we couldn't see them that much. Then
'we saw two cheaters.There eyes looked evil. After that we saw two
Elephant’s
there
names were
Burma and
Anjalie they were throwing

Bark on their backs so they can’t get sunburnt from
the sun.

The next animal we saw was Flamingos. They were
having a shower in the water. The flamingos were
making lots of
noises.

Finally we went to see the Rhinos but there
was only one
Rhino.
It was
very cool
seeing all
of the animals.
I didn't have a chance to look at the
tigers because
they were
having a surgery.
Then we went to the kids zone.

Our group went to the kids zone it
was very
fun being at
the kids
zone
because I
got to have one
chance to slide down the slide.

 

Trial and Error

Today for maths we did activity using Trial and Error. We guessed a number and checked it then we made a better guess and tried it. Finally we got to the answer.

Thunder and Lightning

Today we did onomatopoeia so my sentence was, 'Crash goes the house! Boom goes thunder!' This is for our onomatopoeia there was lots of thunder going to the house.

Today in poetry we read a poem. I did a home jumping up into the sky. He is so happy. He is free and he can walk somewhere. He can go where ever he can go and no one can bother him.

Windscreen Wiper

Today in poetry we had to draw an animal and show it's own sound. Like a lion- tiger-wolf showing it's own sound. I like the lion sound because it says ROAR so loud. It once hurt my ears then I was scared of the lion's roars.
